About Tambour Trim

Tambour trim is manufactured by Loxaco, Inc in Avon Park, Florida. Loxaco manufactures flexible backed tambour wall panels that are distributed by World Panel Products in Riviera Beach, FL. Through our experiences in manufacturing the flexible backed panels, we came up with a budget based design that eliminated the majority of the labor involved in manufacturing the flexible backed panels.

Lots of labor

To manufacture the flexible backed panels, we have to cut rough sawn boards into strips, run the strips through the moulder, cut the moldings to length, then adhere them to a flexible backer. That’s a lot of handling for each strip and most profiles have 8-16 strips. By having each piece of Tambour Trim contain multiple “strips”, we eliminate the unnecessary handling and excess labor while maintaining similar beautiful profiles.

Wood Species

Tambour trim is currently manufactured in southern yellow pine with an option for poplar. Other species such as white oak and walnut are available but are not stock items.

Prefinished Panels Available

Tambour trim offers a prefinished option that is sanded and then coated with three coats of white lacquer. The prefinished option is shown below after being installed on a wall.
